Peaches Waugh

December 1, 2001 - August 10, 2018

Peaches came a part of Gracie Waugh’s life during the death on one of her parents. It was Peaches’ love and companionship that saw Gracie through her grief. Peaches would continue to watch over her Gracie for more than 16 years. Peaches could even sense when Gracie had bad dreams an would lie on her until the dream was gone. It was an unconditional love the two shared.

Everyone in Peaches’ life loved to have her near – even cats! When out on walks, it wasn’t uncommon for a stray cat to appear and rub against sweet Peaches. One even followed them home and eventually became part of the family! Her name is Belle. Belle was especially attentive to Peaches during her final days – she continued to snuggle and groom her special sister, Peaches.

Peaches was an expert at playing. She enjoyed squeak toys and running around her yard and hanging out with her kitty pals. She didn’t like it when Gracie was out of sight too long and would bark as she looked for her. Maybe best of all, Peaches loved to take car rides with Gracie.

Peaches passed over to the Rainbow Bridge on August 10th. Gracie says “She always watched over me. I made sure to tell her every day that she was the best dog ever. I loved that dog beyond measure. She will always be with me. I love you Peaches.”

I will certainly miss Peaches, she took walks with Gracie and I on occasion. She was always cheerful and fun to be with.

Peaches and Grace were meant to be as neither could have asked for a better best friend. I hope you always remember what a joy you were to each other. She wouldn’t want it any other way.
